Description
LP, Whi + LP, Gre + Album, Ltd 1997
Grading
Slipcase is Vg+/Excellent (Exceptionally clean and vivid, three slightly bumped corners, presents very strongly)
Media: Record 1) Nm, 2) Excellent (Tiny smudge to the side 3 label and upon close scrutiny a single side 3 scuffline. The colored vinyl {White & Green} identifies this as the first press run and is absolutely gorgeous. The tiniest aesthetic manufacturing flaw can be detected, there is a small handful of tiny specks spread out over the 4 sides {1-4 per side}, it appears to be a bit of black pellet got into the hopper. Barely noticeable and not considered during the media grading. Playgraded flawlessly)

A shift in sound for Stereolab, bringing in more electronic textures alongside their usual motorik rhythms and layered vocals. The record leans heavily on warm keyboards, vibraphone, and soft analog tones, giving the songs a lighter and more melodic feel than their earlier guitar-driven work.
Tracks like “Miss Modular” and “Parsec” show the group moving toward a smoother, jazz-influenced direction while keeping the hypnotic pulse that runs through much of their catalog. One of the key Stereolab records and an important step in the evolution of their sound.
