A double-LP compilation from the ’90s that pulls together the best of G Rap and Polo’s Cold Chillin’ output. Mostly produced by Marley Marl, with some ghost work from Large Professor and early Trackmasters for good measure, it’s packed with cornerstones like “Road to the Riches,” “Streets of New York,” “Ill Street Blues,” “Talk Like Sex,” and “It’s a Demo.” Raw, technical, and uncompromising from start to finish, it shows exactly why Kool G Rap is still regarded as one of the greatest rappers ever.
