One of J Dilla’s most infamous singles on Up Above Records, flipping René Costy’s “Scrabble” into a tense, stuttering groove. Not usually a political artist, Dilla wrote this after repeated police harassment in Detroit — stepping out front as both MC and producer to vent with precision. A scarce 12" that’s become a staple for Dilla collectors.
