Debut album from Digital Underground, led by Shock G, who handles most of the production.
“The Humpty Dance” became one of the biggest hip-hop records of its time, built around Shock G’s alter ego, Humpty Hump. He appears as both characters, and most people thought they were two different guys. “Doowutchyalike,” “Freaks of the Industry,” “Sex Packets,” and “Packet Man” are some of the key tracks.
Concept album built around a fictional product, carried by the group’s humor and the way Shock G builds out the idea across the record.
