Buckshot’s rugged delivery and 5FT’s verses ride over gritty, jazz-drenched beats from Evil Dee and the rest of Da Beatminerz, laying the blueprint for the dusty underground NY sound that would define the mid-’90s. Cuts like “Who Got da Props?” and “How Many MC’s…” became instant street anthems, while deeper joints like “I Got Cha Opin” showed how versatile the formula could be. A raw cornerstone of East Coast hip-hop.
