A wild mix of live-band grit and chopped-up funk that pulls together everything the Beasties had been building toward. Q-Tip’s guest spot on “Get It Together” kept them grounded in hip-hop while the band stretched out into punk breaks, jazz loops, and straight jam sessions. “Sabotage” gave them one of the greatest videos ever made and turned their chaos into an anthem. It’s messy in the best way—three guys experimenting, cracking jokes, and somehow landing on a classic.
